Update

Gone off to Uni and found I only really have free time at weekends to paint as its a busy schedule and I'm starting a Sketch A Day blog.

A quick update

Hi there,

A quick update I have brought some dark angels marines from the dark vengeance box set of of ebay last week and will be built next week. Also I brought the paints and washes today off of SnM stuff so hopefully both will arrive to paint the tactical squad. I have decided that I will probably paint them as Salamanders and maybe even do a little bit of conversion work on them.

Welcome

Hi there,

Firstly thanks for stopping by. The aim is this blog will track my adventure into the 40K universe and to look back on later. I am complete noob to warhammer and wargaming in general (The girlfriend and her family got me into Dungeons and Dragons about 6 months back and I now love it.). However I do have some experience modelling and painting but I’m first to admit it’s nowhere near perfect and as such comments, criticism and tips are most welcome.

Secondly I’m a complete noob to blogging as well so I will give it a try to document my progress and probably urge me to write up tutorials for the benefit of others, finish the minis to higher standards over time and to urge me onto modelling and completing projects faster.

So finally what to expect. I will be attending  a design course at uni in September so obviously that takes priority, and I have a job to give me some money to use for uni and modelling. As such what time I do have can be limited at times and progress made slow. However I want to record progress and show others with interest.  A number of other bloggers have inspired me to start this adventure as I am truly fascinated. So anything will be posted on here from finished minis and terrain through to non warhammer 40K modelling projects and maybe even battle reports. All in all it should encompass enough.
